En los ecosistemas de selva que rodean los cenotes habita una gran diversidad de reptiles, criaturas fascinantes que han sobrevivido millones de a\u00f1os adapt\u00e1ndose a su entorno. Aunque muchas veces generan respeto o incluso temor, cumplen un papel fundamental en el equilibrio natural.

Una de las curiosidades m\u00e1s sorprendentes es que los reptiles son animales de sangre fr\u00eda, lo que significa que dependen del entorno para regular su temperatura corporal.<\/h5>\n

Por otro lado, algunas serpientes cuentan con sistemas de detecci\u00f3n de calor, lo que les permite localizar a sus presas incluso en la oscuridad. Aunque existen especies venenosas, la mayor\u00eda no representa un peligro si se mantiene una distancia prudente y respeto por su h\u00e1bitat.<\/p>\n

Otro dato interesante es que muchos reptiles tienen una piel cubierta de escamas que les ayuda a conservar la humedad y protegerse del entorno. Adem\u00e1s, mudan su piel peri\u00f3dicamente como parte de su crecimiento.<\/p>\n
